Opera "My first time"

This is an Advert campaign created to engage people aged 20-30 to experience opera for the first time. I found it really clever how to attract the relevant audience attention they used sex innuendos. Using sex related innuendos is definitely a shock tactic that grabs the audiences attention making them look twice at the poster and read further to find out its actually about opera. I love how smooth the posters look it really reflects the elegance of opera. Overall I think the posters are successful in creating an interest and awareness about opera through the clever use of shock tactics and through the use of these shock tactics its successfully grabs the attention of its intended audience.

SanDisk

SanDisk is doubling the current maximum capacity memory card. They unveiled the world's first 1TB SDXC card. Currently the 1TB memory card only exists as a prototype but hopefully some time soon the memory card will be released. With the rise of 4k and 8k means that storage solutions like 1TB memory cards will eventually become the norm and will be essential for anyone shooting in high definition. The release of the 1TB memory card will be a game changer for professionals such as photographers and videographer. There has been no release on prices for the 1TB memory card but its safe to say the storage space would be worth the investment.  

Gentle Monster

Gentle monster is a Korean eye wear brand that made an impressive impact at New york fashion week placing itself on the radar of fashionistas and celebrities. Gentle Monster unveiled its latest SS17 collection with a collaboration with opening ceremony and hood by air. Their unveil was perfectly though out with light installations, neon blue lit runway space, mirrored walls and a choreographed performance by professional Olympic fencers. Their show was visually futuristic that really reflected their philosophy "innovational highness experiments". I love the creativity behind this brand, it shows that the Gentle Monster are so much more than just an eyewear brand. Jame Authur - "say you won't let go"

James Arthur makes a strong return to the charts with his authentic, heartfelt new track "say you won't let go". Since its release the song has rapidly climbed the charts before peaking at number one on ITunes. The song is an emotional, yet refreshing acoustic piece that really speaks a beautiful message of hope and love. The song was done justice by the visually stunning music video that was released on Youtube on the 9th of September 2016. The music video portrays a beautiful linear narrative story of love, life and death. The music video was shot in black and white which definitely contributed to the emotional mood of the video. I really loved how the music video was cleverly shot mainly using close up shots. This captured intimate, meaningful moments and powerful facial expressions, helping to resonate the powerful emotion behind the lyrics of the song. Overall the music video and song successfully tells a love story that can resonate with everyone, its definitely something worth checking out.    

Eric Pare - Light Painting

Eric Pare is a Canadian visual artist who loves to experiment with the concepts of time, light, movement and space. Eric pare applies the technique of long exposure to create his enchanting images. The majority of his image's are lit by hand with no external source of light. Eric pare travels all around the world to different deserts and oceans looking for the perfect location for his photo-shoots. However when he is not travelling the world he can be found in his studio in Montreal. 
I really appreciate how his images capture a spiritual presence, it creates a relaxed, calming tone to his images. The way he uses light painting creates some beautiful and unique shapes that really fit in with the natural form's that surround the main focal point of the image. Through the use of a long shutter speed his image's take a smooth, elegant look that portrays a peaceful scene.
